Time for a de-clutter

Is there too much stuff in your home or in your head? Are you eager to declutter but unsure where to start? Or do you find it difficult to part from personal belongings that you’re keeping ‘just in case’? If you’re ready to shift habits as well as surplus stuff, this is your chance to get started.
To support our #Declutterfornlh campaign North London Hospice has invited professional organiser and author Juliet Landau-Pope to our Enfield Town shop on Saturday 24th March. In the week she launches her new book What’s Your Excuse for not Clearing Your Clutter? Juliet will be offering practical advice on how to improve organising habits as well as where to start when it comes to decluttering your home.
“Most of us own more than we will ever need – clothes, shoes, books, gadgets, toys, you name it!” said Juliet Landau-Pope. “We constantly accumulate things but rather than enhance our lives, they contribute to stress and anxiety. People are starting to recognise the benefits of streamlining. And by giving to a cause such as North London Hospice, you’ll feel good about your clear out on different levels.”
Among Juliet’s top tips are:
- Set positive goals: don’t think about getting rid of stuff. Instead, visualise what you’re aiming to achieve and define the benefits.
- Pace Yourself – don’t try to tackle it all at once. Take small stapes and celebrate progress.
- Find purposeful ways to part from things you no longer want or need. Remember that nothing is ever ‘too goo’ to donate to a charity shop.
Come and meet Juliet on Saturday 24th March from 11.30am until 1pm for more tips on how to clear your clutter. Please feel free to pop in and see her at anytime.
