Sow a Sunflower
Event date26 June 2016 (Starts at: 15:00)
LocationNorth London Hospice, Woodside Avenue, N12
With spring now in full swing, North London Hospice is giving people a chance to support the work of the Hospice and to remember loved ones with our Sunflower Appeal.
The Hospice is inviting the public to make a donation in celebration of someone they love. The names of those being remembered will be written on attractively designed sunflower plaques, which will be ‘planted’ in the Hospice garden.
People will have the opportunity to visit the Hospice and view their sunflower on Sunday 26 June. The flowers will be on display in the garden throughout the month of July. Those who contribute to the appeal will be able to collect their flower to take home on Saturday 30th July between 10am and 12pm to keep as a memento of their loved one.
Robin Langrishe, Fundraising Director, said: “We had a wonderful response to our Sunflower Appeal last year raising over £21,500. Similarly to last year, it will be a poignant and wonderful occasion with the local community coming together to remember and celebrate the people they love.
“As someone who works for the Hospice, I see first-hand the difference our care makes to so many local people affected by a life-limiting illness. This is only possible because of the support we receive from the community.”
