Theory & Practice of Palliative Care for Registered Nurses
Course date19 February 2016
Course Times09:30 - 16:30
This is a two day course run on the 19th February and the 26th February. Both days must be attended.
Evidence suggests that most people wish to die in their own homes, if circumstances permit (National Audit Office, 2008; McBride et al, 2011). Whether or not this wish is fulfilled often depends on the primary health care team having the skills to provide effective palliative care.
This two day course will cover both the theory and practice of palliative care, enabling participants to increase their knowledge, skills and confidence in the delivery of palliative nursing care in the community setting.
This course will enable participants to develop knowledge, skills & attitudes to make an effective personal and professional contribution to the attainment of excellence in the delivery of palliative care in the community.
