We have 13 thriving and welcoming charity shops situated on busy high streets throughout Barnet, Enfield and Haringey. Our charity shops are our lifeline, raising approximately 10% of our annual income.

All our shops are stocked entirely with donated items (with the exception of our charity Christmas cards) so we rely on your generosity to bring in items in a good saleable condition.
- Books, records & cds
- Clothes, bags & shoes
- Crockery, glass & bric-a-brac
- Small electrical goods & items of furniture
How to donate
Please take your donations into your nearest shop during opening hours only - unfortunately we have to dispose of all items left outside and cannot sell them. All shops are open Mon-Sat 9.30am - 5.00pm. Crouch End, Enfield, Muswell Hill, Palmers Green & North Finchley are also open on Sunday 11am- 4pm. You can bring items to the Hospice (47 Woodside Avenue, London, N12 8TT) throughout the week. If you have a lot of things to donate you can arrange a collection on 020 8343 8841.
Donating furniture If you wish to donate larger items or a would like to arrange a house clearance please speak to our retail department on 020 8343 8841 who will be able to collect your goods. Please note that we can only accept soft furnishings that carry a fire retardant label.
Spring clean your wardrobe
Why not take the opportunity to spring clean your wardrobe? You can donate any unwanted clothing to your local Hospice shop. Bags of unusable clothing can be packaged and labelled as ‘rags’ to be sold on for recycling.
Gift Aid on donated goods
You may have heard of Gift Aid on monetary donations but we are now rolling out Gift Aid throughout our 13 charity shops. If you are a UK tax payer, we can increase the value of your donated goods, through the government’s Gift Aid scheme. This means that everything we sell is worth an extra 25% to us, at no additional cost to you.
So if we sell an item for £5.00, we can reclaim an additional £1.25, increasing its value to £6.25. This extra revenue will make a massive difference to us and will enable us to support more and more people living with a terminal illness in Barnet, Enfield & Haringey

Volunteering
To reduce our costs, each shop employs only one paid member of staff to manage a team of dedicated volunteers. Volunteers carry out a variety of tasks including window dressing, working the till, sorting donations and steaming clothes. If you have a couple of hours to spare during the week and are interested in helping out, please pop into your local North London Hospice shop and have a chat with the manager or visit our
volunteering page for more information.
