Beauty TherapistThe purpose of this role is to promote a sense of well-being and relaxation for patients attending Day Services.
Complementary TherapistThe purpose of this role is to provide a specified complementary therapy to patients in order to promote a sense of physical and emotional well-being.
Courier driverThe purpose of the role is to have a daily transfer of items including patient notes between sites. When the new site opens in Barrowell Green this role will develop to transferring other items which may include laundry and possibly cafe takings between sites.
Fundraising ambassador roleTo represent the hospice at local groups, societies and schools, attend cheque presentations, talk about legacies and help raise awareness of the work of North London Hospice.
Fundraising driverTo collect full collection tins and replace with empty boxes and merchandise.
Fundraising events volunteerThe main purpose of this role will be to provide support to the event organiser either prior to the day and/or on the day of the fundraising event
HairdresserThe purpose of this role is to help in providing a hair care service for patients attending Day Services.
Handyman VolunteerThe purpose of this role is to provide assistance to our caretaker/handyman to ensure our sites are fit for purpose and meet statutory guidelines and regulations.
Head Garden VolunteerThe role is to be responsible for the development and maintenance of the Hospice gardens and grounds and oversee a team of volunteer gardeners. To ensure the Hospice gardens are attractive and well maintained at all times throughout the year.
Kitchen VolunteerWe are looking for a Kitchen Volunteer to participate in the provision of meals for patients, staff and visitors
PhotographerThe role holder will be expected to attend one-off event/s. Events may include sporting events (such as bike rides or running events), fundraising events (such as family fun days, coffee mornings etc), ceremonies and other events.
Podiatrist / ChiropodistThe purpose of this role is to help in maintaining good foot health for patients attending Day Services.
Switchboard OperatorThe purpose of the role is to provide a professional telephone answering service to all callers to the Hospice.
Volunteer in a shopIn order to keep our running costs down we only have one paid member of staff in each of our shops and rely on volunteer help. If you have a some spare time one day in the week please pop into your nearest Hospice shop and have a chat with the manager. There are various tasks on offer.
