Community Development Ambassador (One Year Fixed Term Contract – for review – possible extension to second year)
22.5 hours per week – actual salary £14,497 p.a. – £18,639 p.a. inc.
As the population is ageing with an increase of people living for longer with a number of conditions, ‘hospice care’ will involve our communities to be even more involved in the solution to care as well as engaging with us differently.
Alongside the Co-ordinator and another Ambassador role this post will be part of how we intend to improve our capacity to make essential contacts and develop resources. From this we will ‘know’ our communities more reliably so we are more likely to be useful to them, they will support us in to the future – and vitally, provide support to each other.
Through this important time limited Board Investment, we are seeking an improvement of participation in our Health & Wellbeing Services, a growth in the number of Compassionate Neighbours and Community Members assisted out of loneliness and more ways in which communities are equipped to self-manage – all of this underpinned by our intention to be more accessible.
Engaging and passionate about this development, you will be the eyes and ears of our communities. You will be familiar and skilled at brokering understanding with a strong grasp of our intentions.
Please see information about the Business Case and Compassionate Neighbours on the NLH Website.
For initial discussion please contact Trudi Leighton (Associate Director Health & Wellbeing) or Debbie Usiskin (Volunteering Engagement Manager/Compassionate Neighbour Lead) on 020 8343 8841.
Closing date for completed applications is Friday 28th September 2018
Interviews will be held on Monday 8th October 2018
