Arriva London is always working hard to enhance its service to the communities it serves. Each year the company looks for ways to give back something to those communities and last year, in celebrating the Centenary of Tottenham garage, it raised funds for The North London Hospice. That fundraising is still going on from the sale of The Tottenham Centenary Book which can be purchased through the Arriva online Shop, and the whole of the sale price is donated to the charity. Last week the current total of £3,100 was presented to the charity outside their Wood Green shop, by Arriva London’s Regional Managing Director Bob Scowen. Receiving the funds on behalf of The North London Hospice were fundraising manager Judi Guy and fundraising director Robin Langrishe. London’s regional managing director Bob Scowen said: “We are always looking to support local charities both through our own initiatives and through those of our staff. In celebrating Tottenham’s Centenary we naturally wanted to support a very local charity and The North London Hospice was the ideal partner.” Director of fundraising at North London Hospice Robin Langrishe said: “On behalf of North London Hospice, I would like to thank all the fantastic staff at Arriva London for selecting the Hospice as their chosen charity. It costs North London Hospice more than £7million each year to provide specialist care to our patients and their loved ones. We hugely rely on support from our local community to enable us to continue the vital work we do for our patients and families.” IMG_7548
