North London Hospice will be hosting a ‘Death Café’ at the Winchmore Hill hospice open to all to attend. A ‘Death Café’ is an open and confidential space with tea and cake to share thoughts, concerns, hopes & experiences of death.

Trudi Leighton, associate director of outpatients and therapies said: “ People may be put off by the directness of the name but ‘Death Café’ is more of a discussion group rather than bereavement support. The event really isn’t morbid, but may encourage us to make the most of our finite lives. The invitation is open to everyone and is free. We would be grateful for a small donation towards refreshments. “
