Run 2Adam Blick from Finchley ran half a marathon this weekend in tribute to his cousin Dan Wilder who was cared by North London Hospice. Dan passed away from lung cancer at the age of 27. The cousins were the same age and grew up on the same road. Adam said: “Throughout his life, I never heard a bad word spoken about Dan. Even whilst growing up, every group in school loved him across the years and everyone was able to call him their friend. He had an understanding with people that was built on mutual respect and a positive attitude.” “In his name and for his family, I mapped out a running route (equivalent to half a marathon) of the places where we used to hang out whilst growing up together. It’s a great feeling to give something back to North London Hospice who took fantastic care of Dan and made his ordeal a little more bearable for him and his family.” Charlotte Matthews event and community fundraiser at North London Hospice said: “We are so grateful to Adam for choosing to support the Hospice. It really means a lot to us. With the help of our local community we can continue to give care and support to those with a life limiting illness.” Adam has so far raised over £4,000 for North London Hospice.
