Angie and Cheryl, housekeepers at North London Hospice have decided to put their new year’s resolution to good use, they are both going to lose weight to raise money for the Hospice.

Angie said:” I have decided after giving up smoking for nearly a year it’s time that I need to start dieting again after piling on the pounds. I thought the best way to do it would be to raise money for North London Hospice. I know firsthand what a wonderful place this is and what a fantastic service the Hospice provides, as my dad spent his last days here being looked after on the inpatient unit. I was so impressed and grateful for the care he received that I started volunteering for the Hospice and then took a full time job as a housekeeper.”

Cheryl said: “I wanted to lose a bit of weight and thought I would support Angie and also raise money for the Hospice. I love working at the Hospice I get such job satisfaction working here. The Hospice is such a special place that provides such amazing care to people at a time when they need it most.”

Angie hopes to lose a minimum of five stone by 1st August 2016 and Cheryl aims to lose a stone and a half.
