Thanks to the generous donations from the local community back in July 2015 North London Hospice have now had much needed roof repairs to the Hospice in Finchley completed.

Jan Anticoni facilities manager said:”The roofing works at Finchley were very much needed as the existing roof was causing the Hospice quite a few problems. The heavy rain that we have experienced during the past few months caused us to have quite a few water leaks in various places around the Hospice. At one point we had to close the courtyard for a short period of time as pointing around a roof tile had become loose and we were fearful it would injury someone.”

The work entailed missing tiles to be replaced, tiles re-aligned, valleys cleared and the weathervane re-painted. As part of the roofing refurbishment programme of works woodwork at the front and back of the building was re-varnished which improves the over overall look of the building and will protected it for many years to come

Jan Anticoni said: “Thanks to everyone who responded to our urgent appeal back in July. The appeal raised over £18,000. Thanks to this support from our local community we are happy to say that the Hospice in North Finchley is now completely weather proof.”
