Sign up to our first ever Sunset Cinema Walk

North London Hospice is encouraging people to sign up for a fun cinema-themed sponsored walk this September. The Hospice, which cares for people with a life-limiting illness, has launched its first ever Sunset Cinema Walk, to raise funds for the charity. The event, on Saturday 12 September, in Finchley, will take on a 50s theme and walkers are encouraged to get into the spirit by dressing up as Pink Ladies and T-Birds from the movie ‘Grease’. The five-mile route goes through beautiful green spaces around the Hospice in Finchley finishing at Brook Farm Open Space where participants have the opportunity to settle down with some pizza and popcorn and enjoy the film. Tracy Annunziato, fundraiser for the Hospice, said: “Whether you, or someone you know, has experienced Hospice care or whether you know very little about the hospice movement, do come along and support us. We hope the evening will raise vital funds for the Hospice, which cares for around 1,500 patients a year. “ “The Sunset Cinema walk is going to be a fantastic occasion. It will be a whole mix of fun, giggles and laughter. Friends and family unable to take part in the walk are welcome to come along, cheer you on and enjoy the evening too. We have entertainment planned for all.” Walkers will set-off at 4.30pm.
