BARNET Football Club player Sam Cox marked his 21st birthday this week by cutting the long locks he has sported for more than eight years. Midfielder Sam celebrated with a hair cut in aid of Northwick Park Hospital's intensive care unit and North London Hospice.

The hot weather made a welcome return just in time for our traditional fete at Avenue House in Finchley on Sunday July 24. The afternoon raised over £2000 which will help patients who are living with a terminal illness and their families.

International Nurses Day12 May 2011
Thursday 12 May was International Nurses Day. At the Hospice we celebrated the work of our dedicated in-patient, day centre and community nursing staff by holding a special tea for them on Thursday afternoon with cakes donated by some of our supporters.
Enfield site multi-faith ceremony13 April 2011
On a lovely day in April our Hospice chaplains, religious leaders from the local Enfield community, and Hospice staff joined together at the new Enfield Day Hospice site at Barrowell Green for a multi-faith blessing ceremony led by Larry McGonnall, our Spiritual Care Co-ordinator.
