Barnet and Southgate College, in partnership with North London Hospice, has developed a pioneering CACHE Level 2 Award in End of Life Care.
This new qualification develops the understanding of different perspectives of death and dying, and the impact it has on individuals. Delivered by specialist staff from North London Hospice , it covers the aims and principles of end of life care, communication factors and how to access a range of support services.
The Award in End of Life care is ideal for anyone looking to develop their knowledge in this subject even though they are not directly involved in the care of an individual. It can be used as CPD across all levels in the Health and Social Care industry and could include workers and volunteers in hospices, care homes, care in the community and primary care.
A nationally recognised qualification
The aim of the course is to develop your understanding of the difficult subject of care and dying, and ultimately achieving a CACHE Level 2 nationally recognised qualification to improve your CV.
The two day programme covers:
• Aims and principles of end of life care
• Access of support services
• Different perspectives of death and dying
• Communication skills
When and where the classes run?
With two classroom-based days (these are compulsory) on 27th and 28th November 2017, held at the North London Hospice in Winchmore Hill, you can improve your understanding of palliative care with the help of specialist staff.
Candidates will need to attend both days to complete the course
