Who is this course for?
Teachers and those responsible for children and young adults
Course Content:
It is estimated that at any one time 70% of schools have a recently bereaved child on their roll. These children often feel isolated during their grief experience which may have a huge impact on their emotional and social well-being and on their ability to concentrate and study. Many teaching staff, however, find it difficult to offer support at this time.
The study day will be delivered by nurses and social workers from North London Hospice and Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice and aims to increase the confidence of teaching staff when supporting a child or young person who is going through a period of bereavement, loss or change.
Fee: £95
