Mike Freer MP invites you to ‘The Margaret Thatcher Tribute Dinner’ to launch ‘The North London Hospice Margaret Thatcher Gardens for Patients Fund’. To honour Margaret Thatcher as the local Member of Parliament for Finchley and Friern Barnet, Mike Freer MP is launching ‘The North London Hospice Margaret Thatcher Gardens for Patients Fund’. Margaret Thatcher was a patron of the Hospice and took a keen interest in both the patients and those in charge of their care. It is hoped to raise sufficient funding to create individual gardens outside six patient rooms. These gardens will enrich our patients’ lives and provide a lovely environment for them and their families and friends. The launch dinner will be held on Saturday 5th April 2014 from 7.00pm, in London. During the evening some unique films of Margaret Thatcher in the constituency will be shown. With Special Guest – Lady Alison Wakeham MBE Alison Wakeham was Constituency Secretary to Margaret Thatcher and knows Finchley well. She is the wife of Lord Wakeham, who was a member of Margaret Thatcher’s Cabinets. Alison & John were close friends of Margaret & Denis Thatcher and this will be a wonderful opportunity to hear some very special memories. Tickets – £50 for a 3 course dinner including wine.
