When someone is diagnosed with a serious illness, everybody in the family is affected. It takes time to adjust and find ways of managing the illness and treatment.
The Supportive Care Team is specially trained in psychosocial care and family work, offering the following services:
We have a team of qualified and experienced social workers offering psychosocial and emotional support and assessing social and future care needs for patients, their families/ carers.
Bereaved families and friends are cared for and assisted in expressing their grief and loss and to eventually make the important transition to a new way of living.
In this section, you can read some of the true stories of people living with a life-limiting illness, and their families, who we’ve cared for.
As part of our hospice care, we want to provide as much information as possible for our patients and their families. You can download a number of useful leaflets here.
The Ceremony of Remembrance is designed to offer support to the family and friends of former patients of the North London Hospice who have experienced the pain of bereavement.
The North London Hospice Tribute Tree is a beautiful hand-crafted metal sculpture which is set in the main reception in order to give our families the chance to have a permanent tribute to a loved one in the Hospice all year round.
