Marathon Runners

Here you will find the details of all our runners for this year’s marathon.

Wendy Challenor

Wendy is running this year's marathon in memory of Angela Moonshine who was cared for by the Hospice. This will be the first time Wendy has run over 8 miles and so is understandably nervous, but is more than ready for the challenge. Donate by clicking on the link below.

Lauren and Jonathan Barr

Jonathan and Lauren Barr have been longtime supporters of the Hospice and are running their 14th marathon for us this year. The marathon actually falls on their wedding anniversary weekend and so what better way to celebrate than running in aid of North London Hospice. Donate by clicking on the link below.

Lucy Flanders

Lucy has been training for the marathon and raising funds for North London Hospice in the hope that she can help us continue to provide the care and support to our patients and families. Both Lucy's step mother and father were cared for by North London Hospice, so Lucy knows first hand how vital the services we provide are. Donate by clicking the link below.

Anna Hatton

Anna Hatton has always been a keen runner and is part of the 100 marathon club. This year Anna is running the Virgin London Marathon for North London Hospice, in memory of her good friend and employer Clare Lane. Clare designed the wonderful patient garden at the Finchley hospice back in 2014.

Anna said: “I set up my Mill Hill marathon in 2015 to raise funds for my North London Hospice marathon place, I wanted to make sure I reached my sponsorship goal and thought this would be a worthwhile way of doing this. I have wanted to organise a local marathon for a while now and this gave me a great incentive. Donate by clicking the link below.

John Wallace, otherwise known as ‘Superman’, will be running for North London Hospice this year. John has run the London Marathon every year since 1986 and this will be his 4th consecutive year running for North London Hospice! John Wallace has raised a staggering £61,000 for various charities, including almost £6,000 so far for the Hospice. He really is a superhero!

Zsuzsanna Hudi

Zsuzsanna is running her first ever marathon this year. Whilst she has run many half marathons she has finally decided to take the plunge run the London marathon for North London Hospice. Zsuzsanna has been running since she was nine years old and even won the Hungarian Mini-marathon championship when she was 15 years old. She will be running in memory of her husband Eliseo who past away in 2014 leaving her and her twin boys. (photo by Gameface Media) Donate by clicking the link below.

Michael Fear

Michael is running his 4th ever marathon. After planning never to run another one after last year he wanted to raise money for the Hospice in memory of his mum and dad who recently passed away. Michael's Mum was cared for by North London Hospice and members of the family received bereavement counselling. So far Michael has organised events at his tennis club, a bake sale at work and has set up a Virgin Giving page. Donate by clicking the link below.
