Metaswitch support NLH work with teens and students
The lovely people at Metaswitch funded three places for Enfield school pupils to attend our two-day Summer School. Thanks to their generosity students from Ashmole Academy and The Winchmore School were able to get a flavour of what’s involved when considering a career in medicine, nursing or health and social care. Participants got to experience the work environment of the hospice and meet members of the health care team. Gill Paschalis, Community Affairs Manager at Metaswitch said: “We were delighted to support the Summer School to give Enfield students an insight into the healthcare profession.”
METASWITCH have also supported our Teenage Support Group at the Health & Wellbeing Centre. Thanks to their donation we have bought gaming equipment for the group, which meets once a month in Barrowell Green. The group enables youngsters affected by the terminal or life-limiting illness of a parent, to meet others with similar experiences, in a supportive atmosphere.
