North London Hospice Palliative Care Support Service (PCSS)

Band: AFC Band 3

Salary: £11.87 per hour
Hours: 
minimum of 15 hrs over a 7-day week for an initial 6 month contract following completion of our 4 week training programme

Supporting people in their own homes in the boroughs of Barnet, Enfield & Haringey

We are currently recruiting health care assistants to expand our successful Palliative Care Support Service.

No previous experience in care required!

We welcome people from all walks of life with little or no formal training or qualifications. If you have compassion and a commitment to helping others, we can teach you the rest.

You’ll gain a nationally recognised qualification, ongoing support and training and the satisfaction of a rewarding job. The care and support you would provide to patients and their families is rewarding and has a huge impact on people at a very difficult time in their lives.

You will be part of a dedicated team caring for people with life-limiting conditions in their own homes, committed to delivering high standards of care to patients and their families.

Assessment/interview date: 6th February 2020 (09:00 – 16:30) in North Finchley

Successful applicants will attend our training and induction programme provided by the hospice which will commence 9th March 2020. The training programme runs Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00 for 4 weeks, therefore you need to be available to attend all sessions.
