Join My Big Fun Walk This September
North London Hospice’s flagship fundraiser of the year, Big Fun Walk, is set to go ahead in September – but with a new feel.
MyBig Fun Walk will take place across the weekend of 12 & 13 September and will enable supporters to personalise their own route or choose one of our pre-planned walks to complete across one or two days.
Due to the pandemic we are not able to host our usual 8.5 mile walk from East Finchley to Westminster, which attracts upwards of 1,600 people each year, but are urging people to sign up to take part in My Big Fun Walk instead.
Walk with family and friends in memory of someone special or simply to support end-of-life patient care at North London Hospice. Whatever your reason, we hope you will support us this year, more than ever. Register today at www.bigfunwalk.co.uk
There are three fantastic routes to choose from in Barnet, Enfield and Haringey (the three boroughs we serve), all a similar length to our normal route – but it’s up to participants to decide how far and where they wish to walk.
Pick a special journey or pass familiar landmarks that remind you of a loved one – whatever your route, every step you take will raise vital funds for your local hospice.
In 2019 Big Fun Walk raised over £160,000 and helped the Hospice continue to provide care and support to over 2,600 people facing terminal illness, and their families, in North London. Each year NLH has to raise £9 million of the £13 million needed to run the hospice, which is a charity.
Post your pics on social media using the #MyBigFunWalk hashtag and let’s make this a walk to remember!
Wear a new or old BFW T-shirt or something green and look out for other hospice supporters on your walk.
Sign up by Tuesday 1st September to receive participant packs and t-shirts in the post or by noon on Friday 11th September to take part & download your participant pack and sponsorship form. Visit www.mybigfunwalk.co.uk & register today.
