Local Rainbow’s group hold movie night for Hospice
The popcorn flowed at the 8th Mill Hill Rainbows group movie night which was organised to raise funds for North London Hospice. The event was organised in memory of Sheila Childs who was cared for at North London Hospice earlier this year. Sheila was a good friend to many of the parent helpers of the group and a strong supporter of the Mill Hill Rainbow unit.
The girls snuggled up with their sleeping bags, pillows and plenty of popcorn, to watch a newly released movie all in aid of the Hospice.
Genevieve Guthrie said: “Sheila’s passing has affected many of us. She was a dignified lady, the North London Hospice gave her dignity in her final hours. In holding this event I know we did something she would have enjoyed being part of. I know that she would have approved. We would like to thank St Paul’s Church in Mill Hill who allowed us to use their hall free of charge in support of the event, and Mr Hokey Cokey, a local children’s party entertainer who loaned us their projector and amp to use on the night.”
The 8th Mill Hill Rainbows group raised £175 for the Hospice.
