Earlier in 2013, North London Hospice was awarded a grant of £385,776 by the Department of Health for the refurbishment of the Finchley hospice. The refurbished space is now open offering a brighter and more welcoming space. The space will now allow patients, family members and carers to access a wider range of formal and informal community services, while relaxing in more homely surroundings. Three multifunctional treatment rooms have been created. These rooms will be utilised for outpatient clinics, day treatments and extended clinical support, and advice from our community team. The garden courtyard has also been redesigned and the Room of Quiet has been revamped so that views to the garden can be seen whilst also allowing for additional light into the new lobby area. If you are in the area pop in for a cuppa and hear about the wonderful work the Hospice does.
