A special thank you to Proms of St Jude’s
A cheque of £50,000 was handed over to local charities Toynbee Hall and North London Hospice, from this year’s Proms of St Jude’s. The money was raised from the Proms of St Jude’s, the music and literary festival held earlier this year.
Richard Clegg, chairman Proms at St Jude’s said “We had such fun in our Silver Jubilee year but what drives us all is the ethos of raising money for charity. I am thrilled to say that this year we will be giving £37,500 to Toynbee Hall and £12,500 to North London Hospice.”
North London Hospice also celebrated 25 years of inpatient care this year and has worked together with Proms since the beginning. Over £200,000 has been raised for the Hospice.
John Bryce its chair said: “Without the support of our community and especially longstanding events at the heart of close-knit communities like Proms at St Jude’s, we would not be able to carry out our vital work. We need to expand to meet the number of people who want hospice care. We couldn’t do this without Proms.”
