KEEPING PEOPLE SAFE
The safety of our customers and staff is our priority and we have taken a number of safety and social distancing measures to help keep people as safe as possible. Hand sanitiser is available at shop entry points and signage will guide customers around our stores in a one way system. Social distancing markers will help customers keep a safe distance from other shoppers. Safety screens are in place at till points.
We will be accepting both cash and card payment but would prefer card or contactless payment if possible.
DONATIONS – We welcome your donations at the above shops from between 10am – 5.30pm. Special donation bins are placed at the entry to each shop for you to leave your donations. In line with government guidelines all donations will be stored for 72 hours before being sorted and displayed.
We are grateful for your continued support and at this time we particularly need:
- Good quality clean adult & children clothing
MAKE YOUR DONATION GO FURTHER WITH GIFT AID
North London Hospice can claim an additional 25% on the sale price of your donation, at no extra cost to you. If you are a UK tax payer all you have to do is print and complete our Gift Aid form here and pin it to your donation. You only need to do this once. Just pin your surname and postcode to any further donations and we can continue to claim Gift Aid on those too.
Our home collection service has resumed but donations must be left outside the property. Our drivers will be unable to enter properties to collect any items, including furniture. For enquiries about home collection please call our Collection Line on 020 8343 6813.
We urgently need volunteers to support the reopening of our shops. If you can spare a few hours a week, our retail team would love to hear from you. Roles are available throughout Barnet, Enfield & Haringey & include cashiers, sorting donations, steaming & tagging clothes, sorting & pricing books. Full training given & risk assessments conducted. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to find out more.
North London Hospice Shops Provide Vital Funding For Patient Care
It costs £13 million a year to run North London Hospice and our 17 shops across Enfield, Haringey and Barnet, play a vital role in providing income to fund our end-of-life care. Our shops are staffed by both staff and volunteers and supported by the generosity and good will of thousands of North London residents.
As a charity, we receive on average around 25% of our income from our shops, which contributes to 10% of the cost of care provided by the hospice.
These are tough times on the High Street and we thank you for your support and patience as we work hard to reopen our shops safely and process your kind donations. We hope to open other shops in our community very soon.
